Write That Letter:
Opponents of Alaska Power and Telephone’s Connelly Lake hydropower project have begun a letter writing campaign to everyone from legislators to borough officials. Apparently they’re trying to make it look as if the whole community of Haines is against this project. We’re not. We need to fight back.
PLEASE WRITE A LETTER TODAY, supporting the Connelly lake project. For your convenience I have posted a sample letter and addresses to our legislators, congressional delegation, borough officials, and Energy and Sustainability Commission members.
The sample letter and addresses can be found on their respective pages, listed at the top of the column to the left. You may cut and paste all, or portions of my letter, but your letter will have more impact if yours is original.
Please write today — we need to show our officials that these few environmental dissidents don’t represent the majority in Haines.
